Tuckered Out

I'm gonna do a little change of pace here from my Tokyo shots, and show some human interest work. As I said earlier, I have only recently started taking pictures of people, but so far I am pleased with what I have. This little kid is taking a break after dragging a huge portable shrine down the street at a Matsuri (Festival).

Light Wall

This wasn't a clock or anything useful, I think it was just a sweet light wall that cycled numbers. I dig the natural fish-eye thing going on.

5AM

This was taken 2 hours after the 3AM post, and could be one of my favorite photos I've taken. Waiting for the first train to take us home, my buddy sits and reflects on is first time in Tokyo. This would no doubt be my album cover if I was him and a rapper...

Bulb

Thank god for Edison. Every once and awhile I find myself using some crazy advanced technology, IE, putting my DIGITAL photos on WEBSITE over FIBER-OPTIC cables... I can't but think that this kind of stuff wouldn't be possible without the invention of the light bulb or just the discovery of harnessing electricity. Good job guys, sorry you couldn't be here to see how far your "crazy" idea went...

3 AM

3 AM, drunk, Tokyo... This is what I saw above me...

Aaaattteeennnnttttiiiioooonnnn!

So I just got home from climbing Mount Fuji, excuse my missed post, but I was freezing my rain soaked cajones off at 3800 meters up. Thats a little shy of the Rocky Mountains highest peak. This is 1 of about only 15 shots I took during the entire 9 hour hike, 7 of which were in the middle of the rainy night. I felt and still feel terrible, and all these Japanese soldiers are about 50 feet into this volcanic trek. My lens was all smudged with oils from the something, and I was pissed I couldn't get them off, until I saw how these dudes shined through my view finder.

Tsukiji Graves

This was taken at arguably the busiest fish market in the world, the Tsukiji Market in Tokyo. This market sells over 2,000 tons of marine products daily. I happened to go there after an all-nighter only to find out that they were on holiday. I would have liked to see all the action, but the emptiness of the joint was reminiscent of an old ghost town. You could feel the potential energy, and I was actually quite pleased from a photographic stand point.

Peep-hole

Little shot of these sweet lamps from up above & through a hole-in-the-wall... Literally, not an establishment...

Magnum

I call this one Magnum, I probably shouldn't even be talking about it...

Untitled

I really got lucky with this one, but the pedestrian traffic broke at just the right time. I've started to take pictures of people, which is something that I never felt comfortable doing before. However, here in Japan, I'm just a white guy with a camera, so I get a free pass.

Slow & Steady

I don't think I have seen a snail in years. These guys are neat, I touched his little antenna and he sucked it in. Then I touch the other and he sucked his whole body up. For some reason seeing this thing glide across the ground made me want to try escargot.

Skipping School

This little guy posed just long enough for me to snap his shot. Fish are cool...

All In

I'm a Craps man myself, but sometimes you have to trade in the dice for the cards...

Rainy Day

In the midst of the "Rainy Season," I find myself loving every drop of it while at work. Several times a day, I find myself standing outside under the over hang soaking up the atmosphere. The smells, beauty and feel of a calm rainy day can be amazingly refreshing.
